Lakapi Samoa is pleased to announce the Manu Samoa squad for the beginning of the international season, ahead of the highly anticipated test match against Scotland in July, and the Pacific Nations Cup (PNC) 2025 in August and September.
Manu Samoa Head Coach, Lemalu Tusi Pisi, confirms his first squad since being appointed to lead the national team. The international season will kick-off with a landmark test match against Scotland on Friday 18th July, 7.30pm at Eden Park in Auckland, NZ.
This test match provides a crucial platform for Lemaluโs new-look squad before heading into the 2025 Pacific Nations Cup, which is the World Cup Qualifier against Tonga, Fiji, Canada, USA and Japan. It will be a competitive six-week tournament across the Pacific, with Finals in Denver and Utah in USA.

โCongratulations to Head Coach Lemalu Tusi Pisi and our selectors on naming our first Manu Samoa squad of the year. A special acknowledgment as well to all our new debutants โ a proud moment not just for them, but for their families, villages, and communities whoโve stood behind them every step of the way. Itโs a significant occasion for Lakapi Samoa as we prepare to face a proud Tier 1 nation like Scotland at Eden Park. This historic Test, along with the upcoming Pacific Nations Cup, are key steps as we continue to build depth, strengthen connections, and reignite pride in the jersey heading into the next international cycle.โ

โI have chosen warriors who understand the weight of the jersey.โ Said Lemalu.
โOur selection blends experience with fresh talentโplayers, who rise to the challenge of representing our people.
With our first test against Scotland, we respect them, but we play for Samoa. And with the Pacific Nations Cup, it becomes our battlefield for World Cup qualification where every tackle, every scrum, and every point is a step towards Australia 2027.โ
