Lakapi Samoa and New Zealand Rugby are delighted to announce a landmark rugby series in November 2025, as Manuma Samoa hosts the New Zealand Heartland XV in Samoa. This highly anticipated tour will celebrate the enduring rugby relationship between Samoa and New Zealand, showcasing talent and passion from both nations.
The tour will feature two thrilling matches:
Mid-Week Match
The New Zealand Heartland XV will take on Samoa’s President’s XV, a team featuring the best of Samoa’s emerging and experienced players.
Final Test
The Heartland XV will face Manuma Samoa, Samoa’s Second National XV rugby team, in what promises to be an unforgettable clash and the winner will take home the President’s Cup.

“Friends in rugby, New Zealand and Samoa share a long and proud history in rugby and for that reason we are excited to announce the New Zealand Heartland XV will travel to Samoa next year.
The tour will have two matches against the Presidents XV and Manuma Samoa, in Apia next November.
The Heartland XV first visited Samoa in 1993 and the team will look forward to experiencing the culture, food, sights and of course, the rugby, next year.
Both matches will be held at the iconic Apia Park, renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and enthusiastic crowds. The series offers a unique opportunity for fans to witness the blend of power, flair, and tradition that defines Samoan and New Zealand rugby.”

- Saturday, 8th November 2025: Manuma Samoa vs New Zealand Heartland XV, Apia Park
